Israel Blanco · Founder of New Business Horizon

Rigour for the business.
Respect for people.

I have built and managed businesses from the inside, across construction, telecommunications and sport. I founded NBH to offer others the perspective I wish I had had when facing some difficult decisions.

My background

I have experienced business from the inside.

I started my first business at 20, in construction, specialising in plasterboard work. I later founded Linktek in telecommunications, which grew to a team of 12. Both businesses eventually closed. Managing those closures made me reassess important decisions, including how I chose partners, and recognise the value of an outside perspective.

I went on to found Titanes Box. A modest investment allowed us to open with the essentials; we began generating revenue and reinvesting it to keep building the business, which remains active. I then created Global Fitness Management, focused on managing sports centres and events. In these businesses I have personally taken on the work of building, leading and running day-to-day operations.

How I work

Ask well before answering.

I take an integrated view of strategy, marketing and sales, finance, operations, technology, people and innovation. The aim is to identify relationships that an isolated analysis can miss.

I do not start with a pre-built solution. First, we define the decision, who must approve it, what information exists, what remains unknown and what would happen if you act—or do not.

The result I seek is consulting that is demanding with evidence, clear about its limits and respectful of people.

What you can expect from me

Independence, clarity and follow-through.

01

Listening

Understanding the problem before turning it into an engagement.

02

Challenge

Separating facts, inferences and information that still needs validation.

03

Honesty

Saying when to advance, when to test and when NBH is not the right support.

Education

Business leadership grounded in hands-on experience.

I completed an Executive MBA (EMBA) at EAE Business School. Alongside this education in business leadership, I have built and managed companies from the ground up, led teams and made difficult decisions. I am currently pursuing a Master's in Artificial Intelligence at BIG School.

I also completed all four levels of training in axiology and the R. Hartman test at the Fundació Josep M. Fericgla. This perspective is part of how I work at NBH: listening to and examining the human dimension of decisions alongside business facts and evidence. It is not used to diagnose or label people.

NBH Method

What happens in the business
and what happens within it.

We do not give generic answers. We connect four layers to identify the right problem before designing a response.

01

Business

We examine strategy, market, finance and operations without losing sight of what matters.

02

People

We observe how decisions are made, priorities are set and leadership is exercised—with rigour, respect and context.

03

Coherence

We compare what the project needs with how decisions and execution actually work.

04

Plan

We turn the assessment into priorities, owners, measures and an executable route.

Next step

If you value clarity and an independent second opinion, we can talk.

Tell us what you must decide, by when and who must approve it. We will tell you honestly whether NBH is a fit.
